building a godly home

I find myself praying more and more for revival. Not a revival weekend or service, but to truly see the power of God touch the Earth. To see many come to Jesus for salvation and transformation. I believe that revival can come in many ways and through many people. God can use anyone and do anything! I think one of these ways will be through the family. I believe that revival can start in the HOME.

Fathers and Mothers, you can truly make a difference in this world! Husbands and wives, you can change the direction of your family line. Children, you can establish heaven on Earth. We all have a role to play, and it starts in our home.

We can establish a Godly home by installing the right priorities. God First. Family Second. The Church Third.

God first. This one is obvious, but we often miss it. We SAY we have a Godly home, but if you look at where our money goes and where our times go, it would say otherwise. Is God truly first in your home, or is it just the right thing to say? Does your life revolve around Him? Sometimes we make choices (whether in God's will or not), and we expect God to bless them. We move without praying; we spend without consulting our provider. This is not God first. God first means that He is ABOVE everything in our life. Yes, even our family. I have seen many people lose their families in an attempt to put them first. If I want to give my family my best, then God must be my FIRST.

The family must be second. We cannot neglect our families and expect them to trust us as we try to lead them in the Lord's will. We must invest in our families. Forgive quickly, love unconditionally, serve one another. Our families are gifts from God; we need to honor these gifts!

The Church Third. Our gifts and talents are not meant just for our household but also for our church family. We must prioritize the BODY OF CHRIST. It matters That we devote time to the church. Just because the church is not our first priority doesn't mean it shouldn't be a priority at all. Do not neglect your church family or responsibilities.

If we can learn to live with these priorities, we will begin to build a Godly home. And I believe that Godly families start a revival.
