are you distracted?
Distractions are the worst. You ever have those moments when you are HYPED to do something productive, or maybe you finally wake up early to pray and spend time with Jesus, and just as you are about to get started, the notifications come in. This happens to all of us! Distractions create procrastination, and procrastination leads to missed assignments.
That is what I believe most believers are dealing with right now. We are DISTRACTED!
We are distracted by politics, by individual choices, by sin, by fear, by intimidation. There is an endless list of distractions, and to be honest, it seems we are playing right into them.
In the last three weeks, I have felt the heaviest weight and urgency to see people saved. Simultaneously, I have also felt the temptations of distraction. It's a fight between my spirit and flesh to remain fixed on my purpose. But it's a fight that we all have to face. I don't want to live distracted; I want to be laser-focused on the assignment God has given me.
While everything is happening on the earth, remember this, it's ALL temporary.
Don't let these temporary things cause you to forget that your assignment impacts eternity. Your mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let's not be the generation of Christians so distracted by worldly issues that we missed our divine mission. How will they be saved if they never hear the gospel? How will they hear UNLESS there is a preacher? YOU ARE THE PREACHER. If you believe Jesus is indeed coming back, who have you told lately? If you genuinely believe sinners without Jesus will end up in Hell, who have you warned?
We want to see souls saved! We want as many people to know Jesus as possible. Don't be distracted, be focused on the mission: PREACH THE GOSPEL.
